we are gathered here
today
to mourn
the loss
the death
of Character

once a virtue
once of value
now lies cold
from loneliness
severe neglect
shunned to nonexistence

Would no one listen to his cries
of the language of spirit?
The call to heal and to grow?
He drowned in another round
over and under the counter
washed down and out!yeahh

For the lights were too bright
lust for comfort too seductive
smiles too false,
illusion too pretty
nd the money was too fast
though dishonesty ws too easy

the party went on and on
while we are lying numb
the doc operates his way through
dissecting humanity nd hunger
to an empty shell of wasted lives
and incomplete desires....

Who will mourn him?
Who will miss him?
one day we'll wake up and see
the enemy we've been sleeping with?
